Moonstone Beach Park is a park located in the city of Cambria in California. The thirty acre park features serene beach bordered by small, rocky bluffs and board walk. There are amazing views from the cliff and one can look for moonstones on the beach.
There are small rock like structures on the beach which are actually shiny colorful moonstones after which the beach has been named. One can take refuge in the abundance of wooden benches along the park or spend a relaxing afternoon listening to ocean melody or watching whales, dolphins and birds.
There is much beach combing and exploration in the area particularly of tide pools and also the views of sea otters as they frolic in the waves of the ocean. One can feel the sand in the pristine beach and go for a relaxing sunset stroll while there are beautiful, rugged cliff vistas.
The board walk is lined with mustard flowers, sage, rock rose and beautiful pine trees and one can go on a hike along the trails in the area. Walking or jogging is a unique activity in this piece of natural area and entice both the beginners and experienced beach explorers and nature enthusiasts.
